Grandpapa is here!

Grandpapa flew in today and we immediately started our journey to Austria. He rented a car and we drove to St. Gilgen, Austria, which is just an hour outside of Salzburg according to Grandpapa. This little village is so cute! It's right on a lake at the bottom of the mountains. We were able to walk through the town in less than 30 minutes it's that small! Before we grabbed dinner, Grandpapa had to make sure we got Mozart Balls. They're famous to Austria, so of course we had to get them! They were really good! My first time trying marzipan and I didn't know what to expect!

We had dinner at one of the few restaurants in the town and I was so happy they had white asparagus! Grandpapa had been telling me about them for MONTHS and I finally got to try them! They are like nothing you've ever had before! I think they're my new favorite food and I want to eat them every single day I'm here!! I love that Grandpapa knows all the foods and wines famous to the regions we're going to because now my food adventure can continue – and at really good restaurants! Can't wait to go to Vienna tomorrow!
