Die Fledermaus!

We went to a beautiful art museum today. I saw a bunch of different artists I'd never heard of before, but the art was incredible. The different portrayals of Adam and Eve and different Greek mythology were interesting to see because of the artists' takes on the stories. In some, the snake looked evil and Eve looked innocent, but tempted, while in others, Eve looked like she was the temptress. I've been to many art museums across Europe already, but each one has a unique aspect to it that I enjoy seeing.

Tonight, though, was when Grandpapa took me to my first opera. We saw Die Fledermaus! in German with English subtitles. Although I didn't understand it all, the actors definitely knew how to show what was going on in the scenes because I was still laughing a lot! It was a revenge prank by one of the character's friends and the whole plot revolved around that. The character's wife was cheating on him and didn't want him to find out. It was really funny even if I couldn't understand German. Afterwards we had traditional Viennese sausages, which were amazing! I think Grandmama would have loved it.
